Local places of interest:

New Forest National Park It is a unique landscape of ancient woodland, heather-covered heath, wide lawns, boggy mires, gentle farmland, coastal saltmarsh and mudflats and picturesque villages. Being on the edge of the New Forest we are able to offer great value accommodation. 

Walking There are some lovely local walks, information can be found on the ramblers website. 

Salisbury Cathedral is a 20 minute drive along the A36. There is plenty of parking in Salisbury.  On Tuesdays and Saturdays there is the Charter Market in the market square and on the first and third Wednesday of the month there is a Farmers market, selling local produce. 

Stonehenge is approximately 30-35 minutes drive. 

Wilton House is slightly north of Salisbury, 15 minute drive is open from April onwards. 

Breamore House is approximately 15 minutes drive and is open from April – September.

Winchester is about 30 minutes from here. There is a wonderful cathedral and a quaint market on Saturdays.

Beaulieu Motor Museum Exhibits include some of the earliest examples of motoring to legendary World Record Breakers like Bluebird, ‘TV Star’ cars like Del Boy’s Reliant Regal and rare oddities like the giant orange on wheels. 

Paultons Park is a local children’s theme park just ten minutes away. 

Paultons Golf 27 holes of outstanding golf with a spectacular backdrop of woodland and classic parkland. 

Hamptworth Country Club A unique 6509 yard, par 72, championship golf course, winding its way through the ancient woodland of the Hamptworth Estate and over the River Blackwater.

Dunwood Manor Golf Club Provides a testing mixture of holes which make maximum use of the changes in elevation, the mature trees and the occasional pond and stream.

The Salisbury and District Angling Club Upstream Dry Fly fishing for Brown Trout and Grayling on the chalk streams and rivers around Salisbury in Wiltshire England. Including the rivers Avon, Wylye, Nadder, Ebble and Bourne. Still water fly fishing for Rainbow Trout on small lakes. Coarse fishing on the Hampshire Avon, river Nadder and stillwater fishing at Petersfinger and Steeple Langford lakes.
